Fœnum (sometimes spelled out as "Foenum") is a world inhabited by sentient four legged, hoofed mammals. It is the main setting of Them's Fightin' Herds. Across the land, these creatures have thrived much as humans have, building societies and creating cultures revolving around the natural environment their particular species is indigenous to.

Trivia[]

  • Other known ungulates that don't have their race or home named yet include (but not limited to) rhinoceroses, camels, tapirs, giraffes, warthogs, wildebeests, and oryxes, who are all seen in the game's prologue.
    • Texas' story in Chapter 1 also showed oxen, hippopotami, elephants, moose, and buffalo.
  • Longma and unicorns are so far the only mythological ungulates officially confirmed to inhabit Fœnum.
    • A few pegasi could be seen in the Alpake Highlands, as well as a kelpie in the Reine City stage, but since those are backer characters, they're not considered to be part of the world's canon.
  • The Tundra is located on Fœnum's north pole, making Reine literally the center of the world. It's unknown what, if anything, is on the opposite side of the planet.
  • The name "Fœnum" comes from the Latin word for "hay".
