The final DLC characters are out. Despite taking over 6 months to release, they've come out with bugs and glitches, with Baihe in particular being especially bad.
Turns out Modus fired almost all of the Mane6 devs (save for three) rebranded to Maximum Games due to the bad reputation they've been getting, and started banning users left and right for sharing their criticisms in the official TFH Discord server.
And we're never going to see a complete game.
Honestly, there has been discussion of who's at fault here since Mane6 was far from perfect even before Modus' publishing of TFH (ex. Not delivering on Kickstarter backer rewards, being hostile towards criticism, being slow on development), but if you want my answer: Mane6 had problems but Modus worsened them tenfold.
Regardless, it absolutely sucks that the community had to suffer as a result. This was supposed to be a passion project, but it ended up being taken over by the same greed that corrupts Triple A games backed by the big brands. Will Them's Fightin' Herds be saved? Unless someone with a huge wallet to throw and who happens to love the game buys it from Modus, I doubt we'll ever see any actual progress done on TFH ever again. But at least we have the small community of fans who are trying to make their own Chapter 2 and beyond.
